Although there is nothing too Original here, the film still manages to feel fresh. They took many elements from other great horror films and combined them to make one really successfully scary movie. I probably jumped more in the theatre for this than any other movie ever, and not just because of cheap scares. They use some very frightening images to startle you. Sure the story gets a bit silly at times, and they cheapened the best character with an obvious CGI affect, but I still really liked this movie!
My Favorite of the Hughes Bros. flicks. (especially after the all too induced "From Hell")
This was a Post Apocalyptic story I could sink my teeth into. We Get enough of the MAD MAX type characters with a story that felt real enough to be conflicted. You don't feel like one side is right here. you forced to wonder who you'd help. (Though the bro's nudge you in their direction with Mila and her Story)
P.S. I love an appearance from My boy Tom Waits!
