The Nut Job
It does everything a sequel should. It expands on the characters, raises the stakes, and tells a good story. Most of all though it stays just as though provoking as the 2011 Rise and the original Planet of the Apes.
Action plus comedy plus lots of yelling and subtract the funny. What does that give you? Bad boys. A loud obnoxious film thats written for 12 year olds but has an R rating.
Top notch animation and featuring a great score, The Rescuers Down Under is on the short list of animated films that surpass their predecessor.
It's tonally inconsistent and the animation has its ups and down, but for the most part the story stays in tact.
At one point, when this technology was getting started, this might have been impressive, but now it just looks like a cheesy screensaver.
