The Green Hornet is not that bad a movie, it does have some cheesy acting and probably the casting isn't fantastic but still a fun action film.
Seth Rogen is a little out of place in this film he seems to play the same loser as he has done in his other films. He brings little humour but luckily for the Green Hornet the action out ways the desire this film has to be a action/comedy.
A good comic adaption, not the greatest and it won't compare to some of the other comic films that will be coming out in 2011 but I do believe it will have a sequel because it is a fun film.
True Grit has easily become one of my favorite movies of all time, everything about this film just speaks classic in my opinion.
The Coen brothers are fantastic and bring life to a good book (not a fantastic book but still a good read)and make it brilliant on screen. They do an amazing job at casting the right people who fit the bill of each Character.
True Grit mixes harsh realities with moments of insecurity, compassion and will. Jeff Bridges is simply amazing providing both drama and the comic relief in various moments, his chemistry with Matt Damon is fantastic and also with Hailee Steinfeld who is strong, courageous and determined; she deserves her nomination.
People will most probably have issues with the slowness of story and the underwhelming ending; but in my opinion that is what makes this film so amazing. Josh Brolin plays Chaney extremely well, he is not a villain full of courage but really a coward who gets muddled. The ending of this justifies the intensity of the villain and really the focus on this film is not about action but rather interaction.
