    The Watch (2012)

The Watch mixes sci-fi and gross out comedy together and the final product is surprisingly effective, and best of all it's far from uneven. It's not everyday you get to see Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Richard Ayoade and Jonah Hill pose provocatively with an Extra-Terrestrial, this is a comedy that's totally out of this world. The residents of the peaceful town Glenview are shaken when a grisly murder takes place in the local Costco store, owned by Ben Stiller who steps up and becomes the leader of the Neighbourhood Watch, with help from his three awkward assistants Vaughn, Ayoade and Hill. There is plenty of banter, outrageous language and hilarious character interactions with these 4 alien-hunting oddballs, but it's Vince Vaughn who delivers all the big laughs from his great one liners and blunt character personality. It's not the funniest movie of the year, and at times there are some moments where nothing funny happens, but it's certainly raunchy and there are some jaw-dropping insane action scenes where the Watch fight aliens inside Costco, and there's a lot of fun to be had when they blow shit up with the Alien orb.
