This isn't as bad as everyone says. However, that doesn't change the fact that this movie IS really bad. Freddy Krueger (Jackie Earle Hayley) returns in this remake of the legendary classic, and stars a new cast of young good looking teens who are being stalked and killed by Freddy because of a dark secret they told their parents about Freddy leading to his death. The bad thing about this movie is the effort to scare you really doesn't work, because it's a film that is composed of only mildly scary jumps, creepy lighting, and sound effects. They don't build the suspense for you.

Grade: C-
