And just as I thought, Parker is a big let down. There's not enough action or substance in the story. The whole movie is a mess and quite slow. It's like a soap-opera with J-Lo in the middle of it. Just another example of two big Hollywood stars trying to steal your money with their names.
This is the Suicide Club. The story telling is incoherent though it draws your interest even more. At the end of it all, the movie preferred to keep its secrets and leaves you looking for answers.
Despite of it's shortcomings of information. it's still a good indie to watch if you want to escape the so so films out there.
Insomnia offers a lots of interesting plots and ideas. One of which is the moral conflict between a good cop justifying his means to give justice to those who need it. Another one is the block mail of a cop with the suspect as a witness to the cop's crime. Though these may sound intriguing, the movie fails to show more complexity to these plots. Most of the scenes are a drag. A few more work and this could have been a classic thriller. And Robbin Williams didn't help much either in his role. Somebody else could have done better.
