    The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

The first 1 1/2 hours feel a bit like a kid's movie and I felt my thoughts drift of far too much. But then the movie actually redeems itself, turns darker and more intense. The last half is a non stop epic action ride in the rich world we know from the LOTR Trilogy.
The character animation is unbelievable, the Goblins and Orcs look almost more real than the actors. Martin Freeman holds his own in his role as Bilbo Baggins.
