Movie Ratings and Reviews

Zombieland
Zombieland (2009)

This is a really hilarious, touching, and insanely fun zombie film with a great direction.

The Emperor's New Groove

A very funny disney film for everyone to enjoy.

The Other Guys

Will Ferrel is so funny he seems to make people around him seem funny but unfortunately Mark Wahlberg just fails at making me shed a laugh.

Vampires Suck

Whoever is making these spoofs should just stop. I laughed more in the Last Airbender which wasn't even a comedy.

Man of Steel
Man of Steel (2013)

Zack Snyder, Chris Nolan, and David S. Goyer have crafted the first truly great movie of the summer and probably even the year. The entirety of the film is beautifully shot and has some incredibly intense action and with this, brings some great emotional scenes with the help of the score by Hans Zimmer. I wouldn't say this is a must-see in 3D but it's worth it however you wish to see it. This won't be a classic in any way and sometimes it struggles to balance itself from a unique superhero film and a common summer blockbuster but overall, Man of Steel is a unique experience and a great adaption to the superman franchise. As probably the most visually impressive movies in all of history, James Cameron pulls off a film with an obviously cliched story (to most people), but it is cleverly disguised with epic battle sequences and amazing 3D shots of blue aliens riding on giant four-winged birds that give you that exciting flying feeling. It is very much worth your money seeing this in 3D, or maybe even IMAX 3D. Despite the familiar story, this isn't a bad movie. I just wouldn't call it the best of this year.

Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son

Incredibly unfunny and stupid, this franchise has drained out about every last one of its fans with this crap.

Green Lantern

What could have been an epic comic adaptation, ended up being a poorly scripted film that is hard to be called an action flick with the disappointing lack of action. Throughout the movie it was building up to be an epic ending but failed with a mere 5 minute ending fight. It had the potential to be a great superhero movie, but it unfortunately failed to impress. A generous C+.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

About three hours after I saw this in theaters, I forgot about half of this movie. The other two were much more memorable.

The Dark Knight
½

Quite possibly the best superhero movie ever made.

The Shawshank Redemption

To those who think this film is overrated, I reccomend you to get busy living,or get busy dying.

oh, Tim Burton. How I wish you would bring back your old movie making magic.

True Grit
True Grit (2010)

Not the best Coen bros film, but definitely satisfying enough to be counted as one of the best of the year.

Toy Story
Toy Story (1995)

Anyone who did not enjoy the film is just a bad spirited, good-for-nothing, heartless monster. This will always be a classic and one of those films where it's not an opinion that it is an amazing movie, it's a fact.

G-Force
G-Force (2009)

wasnt that much of a waste of money to see in 3-D. But the jokes made it a waste.

Bolt
Bolt (2008)

finally an animated movie that is not pixar, and has the ability to make me laugh and almost cry.
