A whirlwind. A lot of times I'm anesthetized by its omnipresent eerie tone and sustained mystery, and other times I just wanted to get it over with, but the last 30 minutes really made it together for me! The casts stood out aswell.
Rita Hayworth dazzled in this film. Certainly one of her most memorable film roles to note. However for the film itself, I thought the story line is a bit ludicrous. Also, it kind of drags a little over halfway through although it would later sort of paid off by the end of the film.
Gorgeous cinematography and the story is endearing but I feel that the intended power and message of the deep themes of faith and the lift of human spirit that gets rammed in the film failed to drew anything within a deeper level or beyond the surface.
