Hands down the best movie of 2012 and shows other Comic Book/Graphic Novels what they should aspire to. Bale was amazing as a broken and mentally battered Bruce Wayne that has to come to the aid of Gotham in its darkest hour. Bane (even with the weird voice box thing) was an amazing villian. The plot had depth, the story brought you in, and there were surprises that keep you guessing. Ooh did I mention Anne Hathaway was Catwoman...and I mean WOW, she was HOT!!! If you didn't see this film, you are missing out on what could easy be the first of its film type to be nominated for Best Film of the year. Don't miss it, it will be on DVD and Netflix soon and is probably still out at a few smaller venues.
I friggin' love this flick! Ok so for the two of you that didn't see it yet I will not spoil it...but as Comic Book/Graphic Novel fan this had a great story, great visuals, and it was just an overall fun film. Not a well paced film or a film that has substance to stand as a "Oscar" or "Hollywood" caliber best film, but for sure one of the best straight action films made. Check it out if you hadn't already...
Never before have I grounded my daughter for watching a movie. But this movie put my manhood in danger and I feel mentally slapped in the face. She is now grounded for through Christmas.
This movie was not just bad, or even a "chick flick"...this movie sucked sooo bad I wanted to take a hammer to my TV.
Selena Gomez (the Disney Wizards gal) was typical, the other 2 gals were boring, and the guy from Glee was really terrible. The story was slow, lame, and very predictable...kind of like pro wrestling, but far less action.
So after seeing this film, I ended up having a dream about Tigger...so you can tell that the fear factor was UBER high. First let me say this wasn't a bad movie, nor was it a great movie. It had LOUD noises and tons of gore, sure after hearing that you might wanna run right out and see it, but the fact this took place prior to the first movie and the amount of predictable scenes made this a "eh" prequel. There was a lot of boring bits of nothing and quite a bit of over acting by MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD (yeah Ramona from Scott Pilgrim). All and all, I probably would still tell you to see this in theaters unless your home theater is amazing. Just don't go with the thought that this is going to be the most amazing experience of all time, because it will only rank near the middle.
Hold on Potter fans...don't get mad at my 70 rating without hearing me out. I am a big fan of the movies, but HATE spliting up movies like this into 2 parts.
Let me start by saying that this movie was by far the most entertaining for me personally out of the series, but to leave us hanging so much and telling us to spend more money and see the ending later seems to me like a slap in the face.
Can't wait to see the second part and am holding the other "%" hostage till then.
Saw the second part and can now give this movie a higher rating...lol
