That's true, i am with you on 3D movies. I've been waiting for it to die out like it did in the 50s and 80s and everything in-between, but to no avail. I guess my problem with theaters i go to is that it seems it is managed by people who don't care much for movies, and the experience is not very personal i suppose. Y'know, i'd have some sort of social movie club, a suggestion box or something, a themed thing or so, they did do a members card but stopped it after a year, also they should do special offers and competitions that aren't just through facebook and twitter. I know i sound like a dinosaur but i don't use those things. Anyway, sorry if it seems like i'm going off on one!

That's a shame about that place that closed down, how sad! I'm sure a theater started by you would be great, a real lover of cinema! Is there anything you'd change about modern day theaters that you'd implicate in your own?

Acting and Film have been the two major interests in my life since I was a kid (when I'd go to the video store and rent Labyrinth over and over wishing I could be Sarah!). I've done many plays and a bit of extra work for student films. As you may notice from my lists, I love older films mostly. Today I am a writer, though, no longer an actor. I write screenplays, and mostly in the horror genre. Plus, articles about films of the 80s when I have time. The 80s is my favorite time period, and not just because of the great movies. So, if I'm not here, I'm most likely writing something. Thanks for reading! Additional Notes: I try to be very organized, for example: my favourite actors are in order of birthday and my favourite movies are in chronological order. Please note that I only rate movies I've actually seen. I do not use the want to see or not interested buttons. Also, I'm working on writing a short review of every one of those movies. This is how I normally rate: 5= Excellent, one of the best movies ever. 4.5= Fantastic movie, only one or two flaws. 4= Great movie, not the best, but I enjoyed it. 3.5= Good, but it could've been better. 3= Okay movie, not bad but not good. 2.5= So-so movie, somewhat good, but mostly bad. 2= Not a good movie. 1.5= Horrible, but not one of the very worst. 1= One of the very worst movies. .5= Worse than the worst movies, don't see this.

    Walking Across Egypt (1999)

    May 13, 2014

This movie is great, full of inspiration and hope. Yet sometimes it does so too much, making the story somewhat corny. Overall the actors are really good, though, and the story is both dramatic and funny. And it's really good, so I recommend it.

  • The Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle

    The Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle (1980)

    May 13, 2014

A very weird movie... it tries to be so punk and so different from other music films that it just alienates its audience and confuses you. There are a few amusing scenes, and it's full of famous punk rockers like Sid Vicious, so if you're really into punk music you may want to check this out. If not, stay away from it. For the most part it's pretty dull, but it's not a complete waste if, like I said, you enjoy punk styles and unconventional movies.

  • Preppies

    Preppies (1984)

    May 13, 2014

Not a good movie, or in good taste, but if you enjoy making fun of preppies and seeing wild and crazy characters have crazy things happen to them, you'll be entertained for an hour and a half. There were a couple of funny parts, although the actors are pretty bad.

  • Trekkies

    Trekkies (1999)

    May 13, 2014

This is a very interesting documentary on the work of Star Trek fans, and it feels like it was made more for the fans than documentary lovers. There are a ton of famous Trek actors in this movie who come to talk about the phenomenon of the TV series, and its impact on people's lives all over the world. If, for some reason I can't think of, Star Trek ceased to exist, then this would be the perfect documentary to show future generations what it was all about. I don't like a lot of documentaries, and like others it gets a bit boring at times, but it's the best movie to watch if you want to understand Trekkies.

  • Mountaintop Motel Massacre

    Mountaintop Motel Massacre (1986)

    May 13, 2014

This movie has a very typical killer, we get to see her for the entire movie, and she's a cross between Carrie's mother and Mrs. Vorhees. The rest of the cast is pretty dull, and we don't even get to see some of them die. The deaths are really lame too. Overall I didn't like this movie, it's too boring.

    Lost and Found (1999)

    May 13, 2014

One of the last movies where we can see Spade playing a normal guy and actually believe it. This films is cute and quirky, but also has a nice combination of comedy that makes it very funny and entertaining to watch. As a big fan of Spade, I loved this movie. The overall story is the same as any romantic comedy, so I didn't rate it higher, but truthfully I don't care about that. If you love Spade as much as I do, you have to see this movie!

  • Drive-In Massacre

    Drive-In Massacre (1976)

    May 13, 2014

This movie has some high points, but it could have been so much better. First it has some good blood and gore, good mystery, and then a great ending. But on the other hand, the acting isn't great, and neither is the cinematography. Overall, it's an okay movie.

  • Choose Me

    Choose Me (1984)

    May 13, 2014

A pretty unique romance film. It isn't full of the typical romantic film cliches like other similar films. That doesn't mean that it's a great movie either. It's pretty good, as it's unique, has a nice cast of actors, and it's kind of interesting. That said, it could have been better. A little comedy never hurts, for one thing. So, I haven't seen this in a while, but that's what I have to say about what I remember of this film. Overall, it's pretty good, but more for the romantic drama fans.

  • Commando

    Commando (1985)

    May 13, 2014

At first glance, this is just an ordinary action film where the main guy has to save his daughter from her kidnappers. There is more going on in this story if you really listen and pay attention. It's a great story, and it's paired with a ton of great action sequences. This is one of Schwarzenegger's best films ever, yet I don't see a lot of conversation on it. A great action thriller with the best action star ever, what more could you ask for? I loved this movie, and I recommend it.
