A film where you can feel each brutal strike. Evans knew exactly the kind of flick he wanted to make and with a legitimate budget he delivers a masterful martial arts experience and one of the most violent films of the decade!
A poorman's heroes journey! The villain is not defined and when we get to her it just feels shoehorned in and we don't understand the motivation. The whole thing, like most YA concepts, just doesn't make sense.
Someone needs to tell these people that a little bit of conflict goes a long way. There no conflict in this film and absolutely no imagination. The lead character can go back in time and fix his life and what does he do, he goes and does it all to get a girlfriend. So there's nothing in his life that he needs to fix? An absolutely awful waste of film. This is one of the worst films ever made!
