    Dawn of the Dead

    Dawn of the Dead (1979)

Well, I'm kind of two headed on this film. There are some good zombie kills and a great story in it and swell characters, but the film just isn't serious enough. The make up is kinda bland, some of the music feels out of place and too upbeat, some of the characters are strange especially that one solider in the beginning. Not the mention that biker gang running around throwing pies in zombies' faces. It's an essential zombie film, and one of Romero's best, but it just wasn't scary enough. After another viewing though, I found it to be quite enjoyable, and still pretty good the way it is. It may of have not been what I originally expected, but it's still pretty darn entertaining.
