Great Horror Thriller, in a old school way (without gore): the movie tells a story of 2 girls who lived 5 years alone in a cabin in the middle of a forest, afeter their father dies. They survived somehow, becoming animal-like and with the healp of a mysterious figure they call "Mama".
Years later their uncle that never gave up on the search for them finds them, and try to get they to live in society again. But nothing is so easy - Mama is around.
It's a sort of a Dark Faery Story, with a excellent and dark photography and actings, being the most impressive of the two children, and of Mama (Javier Botet, a Marfan's Sd. carrier - that gave all the scary - and real - proportions to the role).
I didn't like too much the ending, but it is overall a nice one for a El Toro movie. My score: 8,0 / 10,0 (one of the best Horror movies of the year till now).
A story is based on Heide Wyrick, a psychic : it is loselly based on a "real" story, but with some creative alterations. It's about a family that moves to a old country house, in Georgia - the womens in this family has psychic power, and soon they start to see strange things. It looks like this family has some episodes on a Discovery Channel sobrenatural series too - it's a nice Horror movie, with a good plot in my opinion, not a Oscar winning one. My score: 6,0 / 10,0
A good Horror Thriller movie that stars as a suspense one - it's about a writer in a bad phase, that writes books about brutal crimes without resollution, and investigate the cases on the most strange way: by moving in the victims house with his family. He moves into a house in which 4 persons of a family were strangles, and find a box with Super 8 snuff movies in the attic, that show this.... overall a nice movie but I found the ending a little rushed. My score: 6,8 / 10,0
A Spagetti-Western, with some comics moments among a seroius theme: the soundtracks, actings and photography are beautiful, but I find the story a little simple - of course we have the bloody (and unnecessary) scenes that Tarantino is know for. Best movie of the year? One of the bests, but not the best. Score: 8,3 / 10,0.
A nice story about a man who has a skin disturbance and can't go outside during the day, due to his skin hypersensibility to the sun. Gradually, he starts to act strangelly, like a vampire... well written story, nice characters (at least him and the feminine co-protagonist), with a small cast and scenarios. The plot could be more polited, but still is one nice Horror / Suspense movie about (serious) vampires. My score: 7,6 / 10,0
