    Captain America: The First Avenger

Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)

    Classified: Fresh

Defining Moment: There are a couple but I thought Red Skull revealing his monstrous self to Captain America, pretty effective moment.

    Highs:
All cast involved acted very well, it had great chemistry and great action. The first half of the movie was fantastic with great story-telling and some great emotional moments. I initially felt concerned about Chris Evans being in the main role of the Cap BUT he did do a good job.

    Lows:
I felt that Hugo Weaving needed more screen time and development. The second half of the film was rushed and lost its ability to tell the story well, it almost felt like they just wanted to get it to those final scenes, even the great trailer at the end of the credits.

    H&L Conclusion:
I liked this film but felt it weaker then Thor (which really surprised me). Good acting, OK storytelling but really lacked in the 2nd half of the movie. All involved did well with what was presented to them and the time that was allotted. Not the best that Marvel has produced but still a great, fun holiday blockbuster.
