Hulk

Hulk

(2003)

Ang Lee's Hulk is flawed, and the CGI is undeniably dated, but none of its issues take away what is surprisingly a compelling narrative, interesting characters, and some action scenes that manage to impress and even inspire some awe.

The Matrix

The Matrix

(1999)

Smart, engaging, and featuring action scenes that have been praised and satirized for years on end, The Matrix (despite some nitpicks) is undeniably a stable in sci-fi action.

Superman IV: The Quest for Peace

Superman IV: The Quest for Peace

Superman IV tops even Batman & Robin as the worst superhero film ever. Whereas Batman & Robin was enjoyably bad this film is so boring and just never ends oh and lets top if off with laughable special effects, and the worst writing in any superhero film I've ever heard. Reeves, Kidder, and Hackman I'm sure are doing their best with this garbage material and they deserve the best for that.

Thor: The Dark World

Thor: The Dark World

(2013)

Chris Hemsorth and Tom Hiddelston still shine in their roles, and the action is typically satisfying but Thor: The Dark World adds up to be the weakest in the Marvel franchise with a generic plot, sadly annoying comic relief, and one of the dullest villains in superhero film history.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy

(2014)

Guardians of the Galaxy is the most refreshing superhero movie i've seen in a long time, it certainly has its flaws but this movie has fought against the industry's desperate need to make their comic book films so needlessly dark and simply not fun. GOTG breaks this trend and opens up potential for the future of fun superhero films that balance comedy, adventure and even dramatic and heartfelt moments in a perfect way, a way that hasn't been done as well since the original Superman.
