This interesting, fantasy-comedy twist of snow white would have received a better rating, except the tacky, anachronistic and downright irritating ending song completely demolished my positive attitude towards the film. Lacked a little too much classic element such as the apple, and had less comedy than expected, but was all round alright.
Unnecessary and lacking both the sweet story and the humour of the first film, the sequel left a slightly bitter taste with its ambiguous ending. Too much exaggerated drama was crammed into a story that began realistically in the first film. The addition of the new baby was almost ignored for a majority of the screen time, and the decision to turn a loving couple into a continually fighting, shaky relationship to add to the plot rendered a majority of the film's superior predecessor's plot pointless, which was not a wise decision as it led to out of character fights and soap opera style events. A few rare sweet or slightly humorous moments used to try and stitch the almost phantasmagoric events together stopped the movie from being a total loss, but the altogether lacklustre film failed to entertain and satisfy as much as the first.
