A documentary filled with original footage from the Doors fantastic but short existence. Well written & with some fascinating insight into one of the great American rock bands and it's charismatic front man, Jim Morrison. I would have liked to have seen the filmmaker dig deeper & pull back some of the layers to allow for more insight than they did but I still thoroughly enjoyed all the original film material & the sound was fantastic!
Strong chemistry between the leads & a refreshed shooting style to this cop drama help make End of Watch a good solid film. Some great banter & fine performances really do set this film apart. A refreshed visual ascetic also helps give this film more realism with some fine directing & shooting.
A good movie but surprised it won best picture. The film is solid & worth the watch but I wasn't wowed by any means & I wonder if the best picture winner should be a bit more impressive than this film is.
