This film was fun and super action-packed with great enemy designs. Although some parts were predictable and a little on the cheesy side the acting was overall pretty good and the storyline had me surprised in places (which is usually pretty difficult to do).
It got all the lovey dovey crap out of the way in the first 20 minutes of the film and then got straight into the good stuff, the film overall had a well-balanced feel which gave a very enjoyable experience.
Truly the worst horror film I've ever seen. Not innovative, not creative, SO not scary and has a giant HAND at the end for the massive WOAH. No woah, just POO. Acting gets it 1 star... that wasn't TOO bad.
I used to watch Tintin when I was really little (a good few years ago now :( ) and to be honest I thought they'd have a hard job making a good movie to follow this classic story.
Hooowever, I think they did an absolutely smashing job, I enjoyed myself so much watching this that my face was plastered into a grin throughout the entire movie. The only reason that it doesn't get 100% is that it was a little bit slow to start... but there are so many things I loved about this film that made it so worthwhile going to see.
I think whether you're an adult or a child you will get a good experience watching this film. It's fun, witty and packed with adventure.
I gotta say that I did view this in 2D, as I don't really think that 3D is worth the £3 many people pay for it, but the visuals an cinematography was quite stunning and brilliant. I can't say that I ever really felt bored at any point in the movie, even the opening credits are awesome.
Anyway... I like it, obviously :)
Go see it, I really couldn't say any more :D
I just went to see Paranormal Activity 3 and left the cinema feeling quite dumbfounded. I thought we were going to find out what the origin was of the mysterious poltergeist was, but actually it turned out to be some old woman and her "cult" and a ghost named Bert or Tony or something similar. Oh how depressing... I think it was Toby actually.. or Bob?
Anyway the content of the film was rather good, quite a few good scares, some of which were a little cheesy. I did think that it gave more scares than the previous two, but I somehow felt that it took away from the suspense a little bit as it became too predictable in places. This could also be due to the fact that the whole idea of the film is starting to wear off by the third instalment of this horror show...
I don't really have much else to say, the film is worth seeing if you like this kind of thing, but if you've seen the first two don't expect anything too out of the ordinary (haha).
My rating is based on the fact that I do very much like the style of filming (with the home filming on the budget cameras), the acting was good and the story was pretty good. At least up until the old woman twist came in. Ugh.
Oh yeah, and was it just me or did the footage seen in the trailers not appear in the actual film itself?? Arrgh this seems to happen so much now. Bah.
