So poorly written and executed that it becomes a preachy, hypocritical mess. It criticises so much, yet when the microscope is put on this film it offers very little inspiration nor promise of ideals, just more hatred and bland stupidity dressed up as satire and dark humour. Tara Lynne Barr's performance and/or character is most repulsive, irritating and the very heart of the issue this idiotic film tries to attack.
If you are going to lay waste to the sewage of all things wrong with America, you had better do a good job, because frankly, nobody needs reminding that people shoot up other people in movie theatres, or allow their children to walk all over them.
Most importantly, I could forgive the flat, juvenile ranting/sermons of the lead characters, the political agenda of an idiot who thinks that being 'mean-spirited' is the real 'bad thing', yet ignore the stunning hypocrisy of that same nastiness toward those who believe in Jesus in some kind Goldthwait political agenda of his own, if it wasn't so unfortunately, overwhelmingly boring. That's right, this film, which should have been funny. Which should have been smart, clever, satirical and a good social commentary, is instead a boring, waste of time.
