A stylistic film indeed that looks beautiful and actually makes you feel immersed into this world that they have created. 2 performances really hit and thats Gosling and Penn. You've heard the story before, but its still an enjoyable movie that fans of the genre will welcome with open arms.

A different take on the classic love story that should be applauded for being different. A lot of people love to hate this film and I can understand that. But if you just look beyond that, you'll actually find a good film that is in every way entertaining.

The Great Gatsby is a visual spectacle, and not only that its one of the best films of 2013 so far in fact its my favorite so far this year. Boistered by strong performances from the entire main cast, The Great Gatsby is the best adaptation of the novel that we have to date. Its stays true to the novel while throwing in a few extra things to keep the audience interested. DiCaprio is simply mesmerizing as Jay Gatsby, he is the perfect choice to play the role and he does a simply fantastic job of making the character his own. Will he get nominated for an Oscar for this role? Its hard to tell but it is in every way Oscar Worthy. Its Oscar worthy for not just the performances but the costumes, the visuals, the art direction, all of them are beautiful to look at. All in all, The Great Gatsby is my favorite film of 2013 thus far and is a must see for those who have read the book or those who just want to see the movie.

The Place Beyond The Pines is a beautiful movie that is crafted so well its hard not to appreciate it. Its a 3 act movie that takes many different twists that I did not expect to see coming from a film like this. All of the performances in the film are spectacular especially Gosling and Cooper who raise the film to new heights. Most people won't recognize The Place Beyond The Pines as a great film, but it should be.

Mud is one of the strongest movies of the entire year. Its a quiet film that'll sneak by anyone that doesn't have it on its radar. Matthew McConaughey is spectacular in the title role and this is finest performance to date. Mud is one of the must see films 2013. In a few decades, Mud will be a classic film.
