People, whatever is in this movie is not what Alaska's like. When I was six or seven, I remember seeing a documentary at the Orlando Science Center's Cinedome about Alaska's culture and landscape. I was more interested in that movie than I did about two kids and a polar bear cub rescuing their stranded dad up on the mountains. Do yourself a favor and watch a documentary or a video on YouTube about Alaska and avoid this movie! It's false advertising!
When I was a kid, I love this movie. Watching it today, I still love it! For a Disney movie, especially one that's cartoony than most Disney animated films, it has a dark atmosphere, creepy imagery, a bit of violence (but not gruesome for kids to comprehend), and the fact the hero and the villain are both egotistical intelects work off one another, much like Sherlock Holmes and Professor Moriarty. The plot is okay for the most part. It's a basic villain wanting to take over the kingdom and hero has to stop him. But it doesn't matter because for what they have in the story is pretty good for Disney standards.
