A almost lovable mish-mash of storylines. The main problem is, as many chefs will tell you, that it's ruined by it's complexity. There are WAY too many storylines, and some are just excuses for some extra screen time, e.g. Calypso. The next reason is tht it's not fun anymore! It's just about serious relationships and occurances now instead of adventure and laughs. The ideal story would have been for the main part of the film set inside a, less drab, Davy Jones's locker and Jack and the crew trying to escape. On the other hand I was absolutely stunned at the CGI. (Computer Generated Images just incase you didn't understand! Sorry!) No doubt the winner of next year's Oscar for Special Effects! As much of a ill conclusion as it was it never failed to make me enjoy it. So that's why im giving it a (low) 3 stars! Let's just hope that the inevitable sequels will restablish the rum drinking, village pillaging fun that the first film offered.
