Hey guys, word on the street says there's this Travis guy and he hates TDK. Just thought I'd get the word out so you all know.

Nolan just may be the finest Director there is.

The cast would have signed up on his name alone, I've said it before and ill say it again this guy could direct a film about **** and make it intresting.

Someone said something about this being the cast for Batman3, well it would be great to see DiCaprio or Levitt as Hush. Either guy really.

She can't be serious. This is utterly disrespectfull to the brilliant and (gasp!) complex Michael Mann.

And the films gonna have action ? Oh god I just had my eyes fixed after "watching" the Dark Knight.

As for it's megabudget, The dark knight did not look like a $185 million dollar movie. The truth of the mattter is this, for Nolan to make a movie that looks like it cost $100 million, he needs $200 million. Zack Syder with his CGI mastery made 300 for $70 million and it was his second movie!

A significant slice of the pie is going to big name actors, who knows why warner bros is going along with this? Nolan is producing too, so maybe he pushed for and is personally indebted in the large budget.

I'm not saying that the movie isn't going to succeed. I just think its a little excessive, it serves no purpose for a director like Nolan who is very traditional to field such a large budget.

Its a shame, if you give a director like Zack Snyder or James Cameron more money, you KNOW where the money went. Not so with Nolan.

The worst thing is I'm going to enjoy the movie for its phsychological and philosophical aspects, but be completely oblivious to its megabudget.

Shooting on-location > CGI locations

In the Dark Knight they actually blew up a parking garage that they decorated as a hospital. To me, thats more impressive than watching a CGI building explode.
Actual stunt-work is more exciting too when you know that what you are seeing is real.

I'm pretty sure now that I know the plot and details of the film. I read the casting sides and they all seemed to fit with what I found out.

I posted some of the details on the Inception IMDb forum and the administrator deleted my post.
Which I think basically confirms that what I posted was legit.

I'm not going to post big details and spoilers and all that, but here's basically what I think the movie is about:

Select the black box below with your cursor to view the spoiler text
Inception is about entering peoples' minds/dreams. A technology to do so has been developed and is done through an injection. DiCaprio and his team work to enter the minds of other characters in order to retrieve/plant information.

Well they have to make the film before they can die.

Unless it is about a man in a coma who lives in a dreamworld. Which would be pretty close.

Reminds me of Total Recall.

Zack Snyder at least has a visual style. Its a crime that someone as talented as Wally Pfister is stuck with someone so visually uninteresting.

Furthermore, with Watchmen you could actually see where every penny of the budget went. Dark Knight looked like a 30 million dollar film.

I've wondered for a while now why everyone here is raving about Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I don't think I've seen anything with him with the exception of 3rd Rock from the Sun. Any movies in particular of his I need to watch to see what all the fuss is about?

Well then I guess I prefer the look of 30 million dollar films

I understand what you are saying. Snyder, for instance, likes to do storyboarding for each scene.
Nolan often just likes to let the actors be free to do what they want in the environment of the scene.

I prefer what Nolan does. It makes the film feel more alive.

Funny, the tag says "bag of cool ranch doritos". I actually had a small bag a while ago...

Oh yeah... I'm STILL convinced it might be another Batman movie.

Chirstopher Nolan is without a doubt one of the best directors working today.

This increases the chances of Levitt playing the Joker in Batman 3, if Nolan is directing him in this movie. Nolan uses recurring actors in his movies, and Levitt is the perfect choice to replace Ledger.
