This is a posting for Tomatometer critics, members of the Online Film Critics Society, and anyone else who uses Rotten Tomatoes' Article Submission tools:
We're going to be performing an upgrade to our Article Submission tool today so I wanted to alert people to various new features/changes: * Ability to article submit for video game articles. Obviously, this is not too useful for you film critics, but we have alot of video game editors/critics who want to be able to access the same tools that you guys are getting. * Improved/More stringent validation of input fields. This means that you might be getting alerts boxes if you try to submit something which our servers don't like. As part of this change, we're going to be more tightly restricting the input to the "Rating Text" field to either a numerical rating (e.g. "4.5/5", "35/100") or a grade rating (i.e. A+ - F). * Fixed the bad header and footers on the article display pages for those of you who save their full articles to the RT database (e.g. rec.arts.movies.reviews posters). * Source Admins: We can now "authorize" accounts to add/edit articles across a single source. By way of example, we can assign permission for Chris Null to be able to add/edit any articles on FilmCritic.com irregardless of author. We've tested the changes here at RT, but there are bound to be some bugs and we'd like to hear them. Please let me know if you encounter any errors by replying to this message. We'll try our best to get things fixed. Thanks for your patience and continued support! |
