Venom gets his own movie.

According to Marvel's website, they have sold rights to Venom to New Line Cinema. I think this makes it a slim to none chance for Spidey 3 getting any Venom action since Columbia pictures made spiderman 2. darn greedy marvel guys. although its cool to see so many great comics being made into movies. cheers

Venom without Spider-Man? But that's like, Catwoman without Batman...and we all know how that turned out...

Link please. Last I heard, the rights to Venom, purchased by New Line, had reverted back to Marvel, presumably to have Venom waiting in the wings for introduction in an upcoming Spider-Man movie, with potential for his own movies down the line.

Slag, you are correct. Venom was originally going to be a standalone movie like CatWoman, but New Line wised up and knew noone would accept a venom movie separate from Spiderman.

Venom

I would watch a movie based on Venom AND be the first one in line to see it. Venom is easily my all time favorite comic book/super hero villian.

Rotten! No venom???

What can they do as far as a good bad guy if not venom? There really isnt anyone else that I see worthy for him to be fighting.

Spider-Man has at least a dozen great villains that haven't been tapped for the films yet. Venom himself is a gimmick villain, and I'm surprised they resorted to putting him in the movies this quickly.

venom movie comics into movies walking dead

Yeah sounds cool, a venom movie! i love how the comics are being made into movies sin city, hellboy. I hope they will make the walking dead comic into a movie, my fingers are crossed so tight theyve broken each other.

Venom in his own movie would be the dumpest thing ever since venom pretty much is like spidy except in black. Venom origin story is good though and ties into spidey how would you explain all that with out spidey it woudl suck. I cant believe that Sam Raimi is even putting him in this upcoming movie. I dont think he will translate well to film and the costume is most likely going to look like crap. Look at how simple Green Goblin's suit is in the comics and they screwed that one up big time. That was definately the down fall of the first movie.

Venom having his own movie would not be so bad, like the comic showing venom and carnage ((Father son type thing)) maybe going alittle more into venoms and carnages roots.

It would be good if they had the right CGI and stuff, would have alot of action.
