Fresh! Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storge - Book 6 title

It's just come in on MuggleNet.com. Apparently, someone has gotten past the impenetrable locked door on JKR's site. If this is true then "Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storge" is the title of Book 6.

Yea so i read. I'd love to say that's it's true but i can say nothing. The only person who can confirm this is JK. Until the day she does i will not believe it. I'm not saying that i see this as a fake. I'm not going to sit here and say "That's not true". I don't know, i will never know until JK says. So it's her word against whoever found this. If JK says this is true i'll officially believe it, for now i can only wonder...

Ron had caused a dinner plate to mutate into a large mushroom and had no idea how it had happened.

I'm also going to reserve judgment for now...I think it's quite possible the rumor is true, but only JKR will be able to tell us for sure.

Does it matter what the title is? We all know Rowling and the title of her books are never even a cliff note of the actual novel.

Well sure not how about PoA...there's not a single mention of a priosner of azkaban it or GoF or Order...I think the titles do reflect the novel big time!

Pillar of Storge has something to do with parental love...that's what I read on mugglenet

This I just read on mugglenet:

Why the book 6 title is probably fake
Over the past 24 hours, over 2000 comments have been left regarding the possible title of Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storgé for book six. Some of you have made strong cases for why the title may be fabricated:

For one, "she" uses American punctuation instead of British punctuation on this sentence: The more clever Potter fans may recognize that the title relates directly to both 'Order of the Phoenix' and 'Chamber of Secrets.'

In Britain, the ending quotation mark should go inside the period. As I was reading her biography on
her site today, I noticed that she punctuated things the "British way," which leads to the assumption that either she made a typo in her book 6 post (the same problem appears in the next paragraph, except with a comma rather than a period) or that an American typed it up for her.

The first assumption seems incorrect because it is unlikely that she would make the same mistake twice in a row. The second doesn't seem likely either, because she affirmed that she is indeed the one writing the things on her website, and I'm sure Lightmaker made some easy system allowing her to update, so she could do it herself. Another reason the second assumption does not seem probable - the title of the sixth book is classified information, and she wouldn't let just any staff member at Lightmaker type that up, because then it would leak in no time.

Also, why would Jo put that information anywhere on her site prior to when she wanted to release it? She is the master of secrecy, and you think she'd be able to wait until July 1 to put it on her site. Although it's not in an easy-to-access area, it seems very non-JKRish to do that.

It is a bit strange that she would include a difficult-to-pronounce word such as Storgé in the title of her book.

One more reason: The only way that some visitors can "hack" past the door is by downloading the file to their computer, and then opening it to find
this link to a book with Latin characters on the pages. Once you open the file on your computer, you can modify it however you like, which includes modifying the text on the book.

Other reasons exist for why the title may be fabricated, these are just some.

Updates: A few more reasons...
1) When watching the video, the "help" tab disappears momentarily. While perusing her site, the "help" tab never disappears from the screen.
2) The Dark Mark (what Jo uses as a spoiler warning) is on the wrong side of the page. The Dark Mark should be on the page with the spoiler, and you then have to click on the Dark Mark to reveal the text. The Dark Mark then appears as a faded image underneath the text.
3) The font used for "Book 6" does not appear anywhere else on the site. Look at the words "Book" and "Biography" (on the main page) -- the B's don't match.
4) Although the text circulating the Internet said that the date on the post was July 1, a closer look at the video reveals that the date is "22.06.04" (June 22).
5) "The more clever Potter fans may recognize that the title relates..." The correct British spelling of "recognize" is "recognise."

Thanks to frodo328, Steve, Sofia and Padfoot for contributing.

and post worthy it was.

but more important to me, is if someone could post how to get all 4 pages in the scrapbook from www.jkrowling.com/en ...

should we start a thread talking about this... or would that be cheating?

I think the third clue has something to do with the enterance to the MOM. Isn't that the numbers you have to press in the phone box?

Don't know if that helps because i still don't know what it's going on about but yea ok...

we're discussing JKR's web site. If you haven't been yet, well, no, I guess this would all seem a bit vague... but that's what I was going for.

go here:

www.jkrowling.com

and get working on filling up your scrapbook. and if you find more things (I know there has to be more), then report back and tell what/how/etc

ps Select the black box below with your cursor to view the spoiler text
good work on figuring out spoiler text!

On the site again these people have been discussing a butterfly that changes colour. Any of you guys familiar with this? Not only does it change colour but it turns into a moth at night too. Now some of these people have connected the butterfly to Cho. I dunno why, maybe her name means butterfly? But no one seems to know what this means. Well, could it mean that Cho is a...(can't remember what it's called), the thing that Tonks is...the person who can change their appearence at will? Just a thought..
Okay your long spoiler text you put in...that's an early version of the PS...Joe didn't use!

Peeve's influence:

now, i've noticed that if you stay on the home page, after a while a wind comes [or is it unseen peeves?] and knocks over the pens, and at the same time the watch face changes [into Dumbledore's watch], and a mothra [or some other winged thing] goes by... anyone able to make anything of this? is there something in the timing?

also, others have reported that the phone rang whilst they were there...

and in the trophy room, I've seen a ribbon fly away.

Yea, it could be Peeves (Jo does mention him somewhere asking us to 'watch out' for him) or it could be the Doxie (the little hairy black things with two sets of legs and arms and wings (read Fantastic Beasts and where to find them)) but i can't be sure.

I missed Dumbeldore's watch when that happened i was too busy watching the Doxie. Some one said that if you click the Doxie it changed into a book? I don't know it was too quick for me. And the Ribbon is due to peeves apparently...

The phone...some one said that when you dial a number someone picks up and says "Hello? Hello? Who's there?" but it can't be the same number as the one you type in to get the award because nothing happens. A lot of people though this was Jo but i don't think so...

I can't wait til the door opens though..and the Mirror of Erised, very clever!

Do y'all think that there's any significance to all the gum wrappers on her desk? We'd talked before about Neville's mom giving her all the gum wrappers at St. Mungo's being some kind of hint at what's to come, so maybe this is just trying to reinforce that idea? I can't tell what brand they are 'cause the writing's so small, but they look like Wrigley's Doublemint wrappers...

Hmm I haven't encountered Peeves yet, but I remember that the watch has changed one time, because I clicked on something, but I don't remember what I was...so I guess I'll venture there again and look more deeper into it!

JK has responded to this rumor on her site. Go to http://www.jkrowling.com/en and click on the Rumours link. She just added a response to this rumor, "I am trying very hard not to feel offended that anyone thought this was possible. 'Storge', for crying out loud. Come on, people, get a grip."

Personally, I would have found it anticlimactic, that after expecting to assemble a weapon of ultimate power, you ended up with a revelation you could have acquired from a fortune cookie.

I just wanted to rip his finger right off again. Does that make me a bad person?

Ron had caused a dinner plate to mutate into a large mushroom and had no idea how it had happened.
