Pirates of the Caribbean 4?

I've been reading alot of threads about POTC3 being the final saga and that everything will come to a head in this third installment. That being said, I have good reason to believe that there will in fact be a POTC4. While researching Tia Dalma I came across an interview with Naomi Harris (Tia Dalma) in which she more or less "spills" that there is going to be a 4th film. She also goes onto say that she will most likely not be appearing in the 4th film because of her "dramatic departure in 3" She reveals this little tidbit in the last paragraph of the interview, although the entire interview I found to be an interesting read.

http://www.zap2it.com/movies/news/zap-naomieharrispirates2,0,6671311.story

Have a read and let me know what you think. I personally don't feel I'm reading too much into it, but it could just be wishful thinking.

I don't know. Lets see how they make this movie turn out. If it is good I say leave it alone because there is always a chance of the next one being horrible and you don't want that. To keep a nice trilogy they should keep it at 3.

Keira is a Co-star. The movie would be nothing without her. But if she dies in this third movie, Ill be the happiest person in the world.

THis is from my site http://www.pirates3.co.nr -

"Disney heads have revealed that though the third ‘Pirates’ film will conclude the trilogy, it is “unlikely” that it will be the last sequel of the mega-hit movie.

Mark Zoradi, president of the Disney Motion Pictures Group said that the eagerly awaited third movie may not be the last Pirates film.

"The third film... will conclude the initial Pirates trilogy, though it is unlikely to be the last Pirates sequel," the Daily Mail quoted him, as saying. "

Interview, Jerry Bruckheimer talks Pirates 4
Posted By: Sheila Roberts / Source

MoviesOnline recently caught up with producer extraordinaire Jerry Bruckheimer at the Los Angeles Press Day for his latest film, the soon-to-be-released "Déjŕ Vu" starring Denzel Washington, Paula Patton, Val Kilmer, Jim Caviezel, and Adam Goldberg. He updated us on the progress of Pirates 3 ("Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End") which is currently filming as well as the possibility of a Pirates 4 given the incredible success of Pirates 1 and 2. Mr. Bruckheimer is a sensational producer and we really appreciated his time. Here’s what he had to tell us:

Q: What have you seen in the poster for Pirates 3 that’s got you really excited?
JB: We have Chow Yung-Fat which is really interesting and exciting. It’s a thrill to be able to work with him. There’s always new stuff. We’ve got an ending that’s amazing. It’s really a nice ride and it’s still filming.

Q: Is Keith Richards in it?
JB: He’s in it. We finished him. He’s filmed. He’s got a small little cameo.

Q: Is his head okay now?
JB: Apparently. (laughter) He was great to be with. He didn’t want to leave. He was having the best time.

Q: Is there going to be a Pirates 4?
JB: I hope so. I hope so if we could come up with a good story. I think we have a big jump on a story that we’re going to do.

Q: When I interviewed you for the second one, you said, ‘Oh, we don’t know yet.’ With the latest one doing so well, it seems there may be a fourth one coming out?
JB: Yeah, we hope so. We hope so.

Hi Everyone, I'm a new one, and I don't speak English very well. I hope you'll understand me
I love POTC as majority of you but I have to ask u something:

I can’t understand the story of the Pirates 4, because in part 3 was everything clear..everything ends: Lord Cutler Becket died, Davey Jones died as well, The Flying Dutchman now belongs to Turner. Can u tell me the continuation of story, that has an end like Pirates 3??

But still I love Pirateees and I'll always love this movie !!!!!!!!!!!
btw: I'm very proud of myself, that I could take a picture with Johnny Deep, when I was in L.A. last year
bye

I don't think she wants to be in the films anymore.

And also i heard that it would be more of a spinoff than a next installment.

i think they should wait like 10 years to do another one like indiana jones. then keria and orlando would probably be more willing to do one. i love pirates to death and i want another one but i hate it when ppl dis it, so it would be better to wait and do ONE as a come back.

I think fourth installment could be fun. A lot of people disliked the third film and praised the second as the best, But i liked them all equally. They were different than your run of the mill hollywood sequels. Should they wait? I don't know, maybe a couple of years I wouldn't say ten years... I personally can do without Kiera Knightley and Orlando Bloom. Knightley just seems to be a pretty face and I never liked her in the role. Orlando Bloom was okay, but I think his story has been told and it would take a good script to bring his character back into the fold. But, the Will Turner, Elizabeth Swan story is exhausted. the marriage during an epic battle??? come on... no...
either way these movies are fun, they are acted well and filmed well and i think a fourth installment in the closer future rather than the later would be interesting to see. If it carries on Jack Sparrow going to the fountain of Youth, that seems like it could be a real intriguing story and I think the team could do it well...

I liked all three equally and I wouldn't mind another installment only if the story is good and Depp/Rushmore come back to reprise their roles.

I agree... Depp and Geoffrey Rush would have to be key players. Rush was awesome as Barbosa. Calypso probably wouldn't come back. But the two guys (I can't remember their names) The bald guy and the skinny guy with the wooden eye they would need to be in it, they are amazing. They could go either way with it, I enjoyed all the films and A fourth one should be made with a little different direction. As long as they don't take the downward spiral Spiderman or X-men did...

How could I forget the comic relief those two bumbling fools brought to the films?

A toy robot named Rom Spaceknight that was turned into a 75 issue comic series from Marvel, ran from Sept '79 thru the mid 80s. I'm working on a color version of this black and white drawing I made years ago.

That's probably because it was done with colored pencils rather than ink. Didn't want the colors too dark, but more of a pastel-look to it.
