Best known for his directing, but has also acted in some small roles, beginning with Paanch (2003). Had four scripts rejected, before he finally managed to get his first film made. Assisted Mani Ratnam for his film Yuva (2004). Made his directing debut with Dabangg (2010), which he also co-wrote with Dilip Shukla. Dabangg broke several box-office records, including highest grossing opening week for a Bollywood film and is one of the most profitable Bollywood films of all time.
