Amy Krebs has the unfortunate distinction of being the first female eliminated from the Top 24 of American Idol's sixth season. A native of Federal Way, WA, Krebs had been singing since she was a child. As she was growing up, she spent three years in Germany, and she moved to New York after graduating from high school. While in the Big Apple, she studied musical theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. At the age of 22, she became a finalist on American Idol, earning the support of judge Paula Abdul. She made it through to Hollywood and was one of the final 12 female singers in the competition, but her performance of Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me" in the first week of competition wasn't enough to keep her on the show. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi
