A former opera baritone who had studied at Denver's College of Sacred Heart and the European School of Music, veteran supporting actor Arthur Millett toured with Patta Rosa for several years prior to entering films in the early 1910s, appearing mostly in action-adventures and serials, including 1914's groundbreaking The Perils of Pauline. In a screen career that lasted until the late '30s, the tall (reportedly 6'1"), skinny Millett turned up in scores of supporting roles, usually cast as the girl's father, lawmen, clerks, hotel detectives, lawyers, and so on.
