Began acting as a young child, performing at the National Theatre in London under thetutelage of the renowned stage directors Richard Eyre and Trevor Nunn. Studied English and Medieval Italian at Cambridge University. Cowrote and codirected the short films Love Hate (2009) and Good Boy (2010) alongside his older brother, Dylan. Played the banjolele on Douglas Hodge's 2005 folk album, Cowley Road Songs.
