This American screenwriter alternated his billing between Bob Williams and Robert Creighton Williams, though the high-toned formality of his triple-barreled name was not always indicative of the content of his scripts. From 1943 until the early '50s, Williams dealt almost exclusively in Westerns. He spent the better part of his career at Republic, tailoring screenplays to suit the talents of such cowboy heroes as Don "Red" Barry and Allan "Rocky" Lane. Active until 1957, Bob Williams occasionally contributed a non-Western or two, vide 1952's Macao and the 1957 sci-fier 20 Million Miles to Earth.
