Has been on television almost since it was first invented in 1925. Made his television debut aged 10 in 1939. Dated Miss World 1964 Ann Sidney. Awarded Male TV Personality of the year from 1975-1978. Was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1998 and Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2006. His catchphrase "Nice to see you, to see you, nice" was voted the most popular UK catchphrase by the British public in December 2007. There is a Neopet based on him called Bruce. Loves golf. Has eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
