Damian Lewis

Formed a theatre company when he was 16. Attended Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Ewan McGregor, Jude Law and Joseph Fiennes. After drama school, performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Made feature film debut with Pierce Brosnan in Robinson Crusoe (1996). Starred in and co-produced his brother Gareth's directorial film debut The Baker (2007). Moved with his family to Los Angeles, California in 2007 to work on the crime drama Life, but returned to the UK in 2009. Has played for England's team in the annual fund-raiser Soccer Aid. Supports Christian Aid and is a patron of the mentoring charity Scene & Heard. Appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen's 2014 Birthday Honours list. Keen supporter of Liverpool Football Club.
