David Hollander

Penned several produced plays, including Faith, The Sun Dialogues and The Things You Don't Know, before moving into TV.  Was a member of the faculty at the University of Southern California’s Graduate Screenwriting Program in the late 1990s. Made his screenwriting debut in 2000, co-authoring the Showtime biopic Rated X, which starred siblings Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez. Created and executive produced the CBS law drama The Guardian (2001-04), which was set in his native Pittsburgh, and employed his brother, lawyer Scott Hollander, as a technical consultant. Returned to television work in 2007, writing and executive producing the TNT medical drama Heartland, starring Treat Williams.
