British actor Derek Sydney played character roles in a number of films of the '50s and '60s. With his dark hair and wide-eyed expression, Sydney was typically cast as an Arab. Born in London, he was trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. Later he became a co-founder of the Hamilton and Sydney theatrical agency.
