Fernanda Romero crossed boundaries from Latin America to the United States co-starring next to Jessica Alba in the Lionsgate horror film, THE EYE, and later captured the Mexican audience with her character of 'Antonia' in the soap opera ETERNAMENTE TUYA. Born in Mexico City, Fernanda began her singing career as part of the sensational teen-pop group Fryzzby signed under BMG, and even though she distanced herself from the entertainment world for a while in order to complete a career in Fashion Design, her destiny was to be in front of the cameras. Not long after finishing her studies, she was offered the opportunity to be the host of the popular show "Control" on Univision and right after that Telemundo called her in to play a role in "La Ley del Silencio." Soon after, Fernanda ventured into the film industry starting with the independent films CREATURE OF DARKNESS a horror movie next to actor Matthew Lawrence ("The Hot Chick") and the comedies WANNA BE ME with Shalim Ortiz ("Heroes") and READY OR NOT with Alex Rocco ("Smokin 'Aces"). The film that elevated her career to a next level was THE EYE with Jessica Alba which opened the door for her in Hollywood and next she participated in big budget films such as THE BURNING PLAIN from director Guillermo Arriaga, starring Charlize Theron, DRAG ME TO HELL from director Sam Raimi, RED CANVAS with Maria Conchita Alonso and ONCE FALLEN with Ed Harris. In 2009 Fernanda participated in her first telenovela in Mexico, where she played the female lead in ETERNAMENTE TUYA (TV Azteca) and in the spring of 2011 she again starred in the first bilingual series on American television, RPM MIAMI, a Telemundo Studios production that aired on NBC's channel, mun2. In the summer of 2011, the actress shared the big screen in the U.S. with Eva Longoria and Christian Slater in the movie WITHOUT MEN, which is expected to be released in Mexico in 2012. Another movie waiting for release in 2012 in Mexico is EL FANTASTICO MUNDO DE JUAN OROL, based on the life of cinematographer Juan Orol, in which she plays Dinorah Judith, Orol's third wife. Recently, Fernanda filmed the movies PENDEJO with Danny Trejo, MISSION PARK, with Vivica A. Fox, NUMBER RUNNER, her first British production with star Jon-Paul Gates, FIGHTER'S CHANCE with the former boxer Evander Holyfield and the pilot for NBC, COUNTY with Aimee Garcia and Jason Ritter. Soon she will be on set filming next to the Oscar winner, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Christian Serratos, participating in the film BROKEN DOLL directed by Trudy Sargent. Among the variety of projects in which Fernanda has been involved, it is important to mention her work with the famous Spanish brand MANGO for the campaign WhatShouldIWearByMango.com, and her recent participation in the music videos "Just One Breath" by Jeremy Carr and "Gente VIP" by popular singer Larry Hernandez. Fernanda currently resides in Los Angeles where in addition to working as an actress, she produces and is the lead vocalist of her 'folktronic' band WHITE CHERRIES.
