American screenwriter/playwright Fred F. Finklehoffe is best known for co-penning the play Brother Rat. He was also a Broadway producer. Finklehoffe came to Hollywood in the '40s and '50 and worked on scripts for such films as Babes on Broadway and Meet Me in St. Louis. Sometimes he also produced films including The Egg and I (1947) and At War with the Army (1951).
