Garry "Gary" Beers was born in June, 1957 to Bill and Lola Beers. He has 1 sister, Kerry. Garry married the love of his life, Jourdan, in September 2007. They have 3 dogs, Atticus, Jasper, and Lily Bear. Garry has worked on many Australian artists' albums over the years, most notably Richard Clapton, Wendy Matthews, Jenny Morris, Bonic, and Michael Peter. He also formed the band Absent Friends with Wendy Matthews, Sean Kelly, and other notable musicians and recorded an album produced by Beers and Kelly that was number one in Australia and won Aria Awards. He also designed and built one of the world's premier recording studios, Mangrove Recording Studios, on the Central Coast of Australia as used by bands such as Silverchair, Eskimo Joe, Kasey Chambers, and Something for Kate. Other than his band INXS, Garry now concentrates on songwriting collaborations with various artists in his current home town of Los Angeles, including artists such as Scott Weiland, Jimmy Khoury, Michael Jarvis, Steve Sidelnyk and Walter Brandt among others. Garry enjoys cooking, traveling, rugby, and golf. He loves living in Los Angeles and he and his wife are active in their community, volunteering for several animal rescue organizations.
