Having worked as a stuntman, actor, and motorcycle builder, Gary Littlejohn could be called a blue-collar renaissance man. He first got into movies after garnering attention for his custom-made bikes. In the late 1960s, Littlejohn did uncredited stuntwork for three motorcycle films: "The Wild Angels," "Devil's Angels," and "Hells Angels on Wheels" (the phrase was less redundant back then). Littlejohn's relationship with Peter Fonda on the set of 1966's "The Wild Angels" would lead to his stuntwork for the rebel classic "Easy Rider." Two years later, in 1971, Littlejohn would take on double duty as stuntman and actor in "Angels Hard as They Come." He plays Axe, a member of the Dragons biker gang. Littlejohn went on to do stunts for dozens of films in the 1980s and '90s, spanning myriad genres. Some of his most notable contributions to those eras are 1983's "Breathless," 1987's "A Nightmare on Elm Street 3:Dream Warriors," 1990's "Joe Versus the Volcano," and 1995's "Heat." All told, he has done stunts for over 50 films. Throughout his career, he has also proved to be an opportunist for work in front of the camera. In addition to "Angels Hard as They Come," Littlejohn has had bit parts in the 1973 Terrence Malick classic "Badlands," 1986's "Howard the Duck," and many other films.
