With her gentle, innocent demeanor, American actress Glenne Headly seems to be a throwback to the ingenues of the 1930s. A graduate of New York's High School of the Performing Arts, she attended the Herman Berghof Studios and the American College of Switzerland, then joined Chicago's New Works Ensemble. Later she moved on to Chicago's acclaimed Steppenwolf Theater Company, where she won four Jefferson Awards for her performances; there, she also met and married actor John Malkovich, whom she later divorced. She directed a play and appeared off-Broadway in Arms and the Man and on Broadway in Extremities. During the early '80s she played small supporting parts in films, but didn't make an impact until her co-starring role in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988). She appeared with Malkovich in Eleni (1985) and Making Mr. Right (1987). She also appeared in the TV western mini-series Lonesome Dove (1989), and played Tess Trueheart, Warren Beatty's fiancee, in Dick Tracy (1990).

Janet Colgate says: Here?

Freddy Benson says: No, over by the bed. I want to see how far I can go.

Glen says: We're movin'.

Anney says: What? Where?

Glen says: Found us a new place over by the JC Penny mill.

Ruth says: Why? What's wrong with this place?

Alma says: Damn you, Glen Waddell. Don't you take Annie so far away.

Tess Trueheart says: Tracy, if you weren't risking your neck every night, you could have a wife. I mean a life!

Maj. Thorn says: If any of this is frightening, you can hold on to me.

Rita Robbins says: They're dancing Raisinets.

Maj. Thorn says: And you don't find that frightening?

Janet Colgate says: Fellas, last year I made 3 million dollars, but your 50 thousand was the most fun. Are you ready? Then let's go get 'em.
