Attended schools all over the world due to traveling with family to his father's location shoots. An ensemble member of the Royal Dramatic Theatre. Nominated for the Swedish Film Institute's Best Supporting Actor Guldbaggen (Golden Beetle) Award for 2003's Ondskan (Evil), and won Best Actor for his role in 2006's Förortsungar (Kidz in Da Hood). Was one of the 2007 EFP (European Film Promotion) Shooting Stars, honoring promising new acting talents. Did research for a role as a heroin addict in 2008's Iskariot by participating in online chats and forums for drug users. Made his directorial debut and wrote the screenplay for the 2010 short People of No Significance. Lost a significant amount of weight for his role as an escaped WWII POW in 2010's The Way Back.
