Henri Letondal was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Letondal appeared in such films as the Ginger Rogers historical drama "Magnificent Doll" (1946), the Warner Baxter mystery "The Crime Doctor's Gamble" (1947) and "Apartment For Peggy" (1948) with Jeanne Crain. He also appeared in the thriller "The Big Clock" (1948) with Ray Milland, "Come to the Stable" (1949) with Loretta Young and the Jennifer Jones drama "Madame Bovary" (1949). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the fifties, appearing in the Clark Gable western "Across the Wide Missouri" (1951), the Ethel Barrymore remake "Kind Lady" (1951) and the comedic adaptation "On the Riviera" (1951) with Danny Kaye. He also appeared in the comedy "Monkey Business" (1952) with Cary Grant, the adventure "The Big Sky" (1952) with Kirk Douglas and "What Price Glory" (1952). In the latter part of his career, he tackled roles in "Dangerous When Wet" (1953), the action film "Desert Legion" (1953) with Alan Ladd and the comedy adaptation "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" (1953) with Jane Russell. He also appeared in "Little Boy Lost" (1953) with Bing Crosby, "South Sea Woman" (1953) and the Jose Ferrer biopic "Deep in My Heart" (1954). Letondal more recently acted in the Edward G Robinson crime flick "A Bullet For Joey" (1955). Letondal passed away in February 1955 at the age of 54.
