Former playwright Henry Ephron and his wife Phoebe Wolkind are known for penning and producing such notable films as Carousel (1956) and There's No Business Like Show Business. His screenplay for 1963's Captain Newman, M.D. earned him an Oscar Nomination. His daughter Nora Ephron went on to become a distinguished filmmaker and screenwriter.
