Was serving a four-year sentence for cocaine possession when he and Tina Turner were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991. Released an autobiography, Takin' Back My Name: The Confessions of Ike Turner, in 1999. Received a Grammy nomination for his comeback album, 2001's Here and Now.
