In addition to the current thriller Cop Car, James has been featured on The Blacklist (The Kenyon Family), as a little boy with a with a dark past, and will be seen this fall in the upcoming Marvel/Netflix series Jessica Jones. On stage, James has been a hungry orphan in Oliver! at the Papermill Playhouse; sung nursery rhymes on the web-series The Mother Goose Club, and has lent his voice to a number of voice-overs. James Freedson-Jackson was born in Long Beach, CA, but has lived in the New York area for most of his life. Obsessed with Michael Jackson and from a very early age, James could Moonwalk practically before he could walk. This led him to the famed Alvin Ailey School pre-professional program in New York, where he has worked for many years to become as accomplished a dancer, as he is an actor. The biggest thrill of James' life (before filming Cop Car) was being chosen by Bruno Mars in February 2014, to join him in opening the Super Bowl Halftime Show, as one of twelve kids who sang the beginning of 'Billionaire' in front of millions of viewers. And getting to meet Bruno Mars! James grew up backstage in the theatre; his dad is a producer, and James always loved tagging along to rehearsals, watching the performers, hanging out in the lighting booth or in the costume shop. He learned to do magic tricks, and some celebrity impersonations and is pretty good at both! James loves to ski, bike, hike, and shoot baskets. He's great with babies and animals, and has probably spent more time with his twin sister, Anita than with anyone else.
