James Rodriguez
James Rodríguez was born James David Rodríguez Rubio on Jul. 12, 1991, in Cúcuta, Colombia. In 2006, soccer player Rodríguez advanced to the realm of professional athletics when he was accepted by the Columbian team the Envigado Fútbol Club. Two years later, he moved onto the Argentine team Club Atlético Banfield, where he became a prominent fixture and a key component in the team's first ever victory in the Argentine Primera División. Rodríguez transferred to the Portuguese-based Futebol Clube do Porto in 2010, and then to the Association Sportive de Monaco Football Club in 2013, signing a five-year contract with the latter. However, following his participation in the 2014 FIFA World Cup-whereat Rodríguez represented his home country of Colombia and ranked as the competition's top-scoring player-he transferred to his team of preference, the Real Madrid Club de Fútbol. Rodríguez signed a six-year contract with Real Madrid in July of 2014. With the Spanish team, Rodríguez participated in the 2014 UEFA Super Cup and the 2014 FIFA Club World Cup.
