American actor John Good essayed character roles in a few Hollywood films of the 1940s. His first film credit was This Above All (1942). He retired from acting in 1948 and went on to design a line of wrought-iron patio furniture. Later he opened a successful Beverly Hills import-export antique business. Good died of lung cancer at age 77 on December 19, 1996.
