John Rue
Noted TV actor John Rue has made quite a successful career for himself playing politicians, cops and other figures of authority. Rue began landing regular work on TV in the mid-2000s, having appeared in guest spots on "The Sopranos" (HBO, 1999-2007) and "Damages" (FX, 2007-2012), as well as episodes of "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010) and its various spin-offs. Rue's breakout role came in 2010 when he nabbed the part of Atlantic City Mayor Harry Bacharach on the first season of the HBO period drama "Boardwalk Empire" (2010-14), underscoring his ability to play authoritative characters with crooked agendas.
